This weekend I cycled over 200km over two days with six women to raise money for conquering cancer in our lifetime. The route was incredible and the weather couldn’t have been better. We were inspired along the route by cancer survivors leading their teams; and families and friends riding with pictures of their loved ones who inspired them to ride. We laughed, we cried, we were sore. What an amazing weekend! But, I nearly missed out on this incredible opportunity because I was scared I couldn’t raise the required $2,500. I was timid to ask my family and friends and initially said ‘no’ to joining. The funny thing is, after I said ‘yes’, I raised that amount, and more(!), with the help of a compelling email, targeted messaging and supportive family, friends and colleagues who donated.
What opportunities are *you* missing out on because of fear of not having enough money? Do you put off development classes or businesses because you don’t feel 💯 secure?
What if you said, “I don’t know how I’ll do it, but I’m gonna find a solution!” And then committed to making it happen? Do you have enough faith that your resourcefulness and resolve will get the cash? Let us know in comments.
Oh, and by the way, our team raised over $18,000 and the entire group this weekend raised over $19 million toward cancer research. Imagine what you could do if you faced your fear and did it anyway💪
